Words cannot describe the joy my new bass gives to me. You have done an amazing job on this bass and I could not think of a better bass I would ever want. Just about every bass player at my school is jealous of my bass and I have only had it for three days. Thank you so much for helping out both with crafting and picking the bass out. I owe you a great deal of gratitude for all your bass guidance. Thank you again.

Hallo Volker, hoffentlich hast Du und Deine Familie die Heimreise gut überstanden! Gestern hatte ich Zeit, mit meinem Lehrer ausgiebig den Bass zu testen, und auch er ist sehr angetan davon. Er spielt sich wunderbar und trotz der sehr hellen Saiten ist der Klang sehr ausgewogen. Gerade die Tiefen kommen wunderbar! Die Größe ist genau richtig für mich, und viele technische Dinge bereiten mir auf Anhieb weniger Mühe. Ich freue mich auf alle kommenden Konzerte und Probespiele! Auch die High-End-Saiten schwingen sich von Tag zu Tag besser ein, also wird das Instrument im Laufe der Zeit noch etwas dazugewinnen. Noch merke ich die Umstellung auf die kleinere Mensur, aber das ist kein Problem. Wir waren gestern so begeistert, daß wir gleich eine Probeaufnahme gemacht haben. Ich kann also nichts sagen außer nochmal: Dickes Dankeschön!

Volker, When I dropped off my bass this morning for repairs and talked with you, I knew immediately that I had come to the right place. I look forward to a great client/luthier relationship, perhaps even a student/teacher one. The only reason I did not stay longer is that I knew I would fall in love with one of your instruments and not be able to leave without it. I'm sure we will be talking again throughout our relationship.

Volker, Thanks so much for the wonderful bass. I'm barely getting anything else done in my life because I'm having such a great time with it. I can't get over the difference between it and my Engelhardt in sound and playability. And of course, it's absolutely beautiful.

I purchased a new bass from Volker in March of 2004. About a year later, I needed a slight adjustment to it, and Volker's work was superb---he really knows his stuff! It's nice to know that, in this day and age, there is such a dedicated, talented expert on whom you can rely for quality work at a fair price. Thanks again, Volker.

Congratulations on your new website format! I have told many of my friends about you and have directed them to your site. I am also glad to see that there are still some dealers who can offer some fine quality instruments to promising younger players that are reasonably priced!! So many older instruments seem vastly over-priced by some dealers. Keeping the price reasonable will surely earn you the respect of teachers and parents and surely pay dividends to you over time. I am sometimes asked by parents of promising bass students where they can search for a better grade instrument for their child. Since this past year I have made sure to tell them about Nahrmann Bass Shop!!
My only regret is that I do not live closer to your shop!

You did a wonderful job. I'm very pleased. It's been hard to put it down--it's like a new bass. Thanks for the other little fix-ups you did too. Yeah, it seems nearly twice as loud now. The tonal spectrum widened very nicely also.... Very cool.

I just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you so much for
fixing my bass and delivering it last Monday.Whatever you did to the bass made it sound wonderful, and
the buzzing string noise is all gone. Particularly the E string
it's extremely punchy and resonant! Anyway, thanks for your
